[18] And he is the head of the body, the church: who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead; that in all things he might have the preeminence.

It’s a healthy reminder for all God’s people: no matter how things turn out, there’s only one truth
In all things, Jesus has the preeminence!
We know how the story ends and no chapter ever ends with us losing out. We are victorious! We prevail in all things
Jesus is the head of the Church!
We are His body: the expression of the Godhead on the earth.
We are His hands to heal, His feet to go forth and preach the Gospel, His heart to love the world, His eyes to look on the unsaved with compassion and His ears to hear the cry of the poor and marginalized and to bring hope.
We are His mouthpiece, declaring His righteousness and speaking forth His counsel in every matter.
He is the beginning!
Jesus was from the start. Without Him, nothing was made. He is the word of God, manifest in the flesh.
The world was framed by the word that God spoke; Jesus is the word of God, hence, all things came into being through Jesus.
He is the first born from the dead!
The wage of sin was death: separation from God and from His will. Jesus defeated death on the cross and prevailed over sin. He is the first man to live and be without sin. Because Jesus lived and was sinless, even in the flesh, He has made us able to do same, here on the earth, through His sacrifice on the cross.
Any man who denounces sin and confesses Jesus as Lord and Savior, passes from sin (death) to life. All who have believed then are counted as second from the dead. And if Jesus, reigned above sin and defeated death, hell and the grave, then we know, that in Him, we are above sin, death, hell and the grave.
Death, sin and hell have no power over the church. All who believe are counted as members of the body of Christ.
Jesus has the preeminence, and He is the head of the church; therefore, walk boldly and confidently.
Sin has no power over you, death has no hold on you, no power of hell can keep you bound.

In all things, Jesus has preeminence!
